Whenever we hear the name Eric Blossman, we instantly know that some great pop rock music is about to come our way. This time “If It Wasn’t For The Whiskey”, his most recent song, once again displays all the characteristics which make Eric Blossman an Oddfuse Magazine’s favourite.
Lovely harmonies, attention to detail, great songwriting topped with a warm and inviting voice are all qualities which make a great Eric Blossman song. In this latest release, the singer addresses one of our guilty pleasures ‘whiskey’ and how it makes everything better (or worse) and less important. I think that from an alternative perspective the whiskey could also relate to anything that helps us escape routines and responsibility as lot of Eric’s themes seem to revolve around escapism.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, Eric’s music is tailor made for radio and TV as his themes always involve subjects we take for granted but remain part of our everyday lives. A man for the people, who sings about the smallest things which make the biggest difference… it just makes our day worthwhile.
“If It Wasn’t For The Whiskey” is another great release from one of Austin, Texas, best kept secret – Eric Blossman!
